About the Artist
Did you have any weird, funny, horrible, or in some other way memorable moments during the making of your Flash piece for this contest?
One of the members of the team usually had very odd suggestions during the creation of our animations. When the dog was supposed to swim in the dirty waters the dog would drown really dramatically. It was funny but not a very good idea for the project. Another one was when the member of the team that plays the piano at the beginning was trying to record the piano and for different reasons it became an impossible task. He had to try the next day and then it happened.

How did you choose your topic - OR - Why is your topic important to you?
Our team got to the agreement of making a Flash piece talking about the environment because we all believe the environment is so important to us to continue living and we are causing so much damage to it. Having a bad environment could bring very serious consequences in the future, so we must begin taking actions now or else it will be very difficult to solve this problem in the future.

Before the contest, did you consider yourself fairly knowledgeable about global issues?
Yes, before the contest we already had knowledge about global issues from our UN Class, though our contest made us conscious about how much our world is affected today and it also inspired us to think on possible actions to improve the world.

Was this your first Flash piece? How did you first learn Flash?
No, this wasn’t our first Flash piece since we’ve also done other animations in school, where we are learning all the Macromedia programs. Flash is the one we are actually learning this school year.

So, you’re a seasoned expert? How many Flash pieces have you made?
No, we do not consider ourselves experts; we’re still learning basic stuff about flash in school. Until now, we have made five other Flash pieces in our school.

Have any of your other movies addressed international issues? If not, would you consider doing this again?
No, none of our other Flash pieces have addressed international issues, though we already know that we will participate next year - because our teacher has already threatened us!

Do you have a personal website which displays your flash?
No.

Imagine this…you are in an elevator with the President of the United States. You have about ten seconds to say whatever you want about your global issue. What do you say? (No pressure!)
Please take some actions to improve our situation so we can have happy children.

Did you show your friends and family your Flash piece? What did they think? Are they still your friends and family now?
They are so excited that we do not know what to do now!

Any last words?
The truth is that your organization rocks. We hope to participate more in other projects in other classes not only in the technology class.
